“Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.”
- 2 Kings 2:11

Elijah Ride has come back to performing in Southwest Georgia and surrounding areas with new dedication and direction for 2009 and 2010. “When you get down to it, this band is about serving God first and then putting on a good concert for the fans.” says Jamie Brown, one of the guitarist. “Everyone in the band except Todd is new to ER and that allows the band to go in different directions than it has in the past, while still bringing the same message to the table” While still playing some of the fan favorites from past releases, ER is in the midst of writing and recording a new album that shows a different direction for the band while still staying in the fundamentals that has made ER so popular in the past. Newer songs are constantly being brought in to the set lists and slight changes are made to older songs to give fans a different perspective.

New for ER is the placement of two guitarists (Josh Horne and Jamie Brown) while Todd Trebony (lead singer) is also playing acoustic on certain songs, allowing the band to be more guitar driven . With Ryan Boyd on drums and Bert Baranko on bass, the band has developed a rock sound to go along with Todd’s searing vocals. While firmly planted in its sound, the band has focused in on writing and performing songs about what every person deals with while on their walk with God, their friends, and life as a whole. This isn’t a band that will avoid challenging subjects, hard times, or tough choices in their songs, but will hopefully communicate the love and faith in God who sees you through them.
Come on in and take the ride….
